Resurrection Dance Ministry
Who
we are!
The
Resurrection Dance Ministry is a community outreach ministry established at
Resurrection Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ministry includes
participants from throughout the city who share the same desire to “Praise His
Name with Dancing” (Psalm 149:3). Since
its inception in 1978 it has grown from a small group of adults to several age
groups who train, perform and share their message through dance in a variety of
environments including schools, churches and conferences.
Representatives of the Dance Ministry have ministered and performed
throughout the
United
States
as well as
Canada
,
Israel
,
Poland
,
Russia
,
the
Philippines
,
Belize
,
Kyrgystan and
Kazakhstan.
Since 1992, Director Teresa Gardner and several other members of the
Dance Ministry have been to the former
Soviet Union
ten times, teaching on the use of Dance in Worship and performing there at
conferences and churches.
Teresa’s
passion for using the arts in worship and for the glory of God led her to
organize a Dance and Creative Arts Week which is held annually in July and to
tirelessly respond to calls to train and lead Worship Dance Classes at other
area churches. We also hold a
“mini-workshop” in January or February.
We
hope you will consider if God is calling you to a deeper involvement in using
